Said At Southern Seminary dedicates Friday’s post to showcase some of the excellent articles written by SBTS student, faculty, staff and alumni bloggers. If I left out your favorite post, you can debate me in the comments.
I still need a name these posts. The best I’ve heard to date were the variations of “Abstract of Southern Seminary Blogging.” If you think of something clever or not-so-clever please leave me a message in the comments.
- The Christian Sabbath: Part V — The Eschatological… from Tu me fecisti et refecisti. Another massive post by Kevin Foflygen on the Sabbath.
- Biographical Sketch: J.I. Packer from Call To Die. Read Andrew Lindsey’s brief summary.
- Religious Liberty and the Gospel: An Interview with the Editors of First Freedom posted by Jim Hamilton. This is a link to part 1 of 3.
- Success? by Aaron Menikoff from Church Matters. This is the new 9Marks blog, but most of the writers are Southern Seminary related. Aaron is an elder at Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville and a Ph.D student at Southern.
- The Duty of Every Preacher to Disclose Christ: It’s… from consumed. Owen’s pace has increased over the summer – to all our benefit.
- Woman vs. Serpent, Round Two from Moore to the Point. Read this post or Dr. Moore’s post from Mere Comments.
- Matt Perry and Mark Combs live blogged their D.Min this week at Southern Seminary.
- On Reading Widely by Trevin Wax. A little stab for you guys who are not reading much this summer.
You can also read Timmy Brister’s live-blog of the National Founder’s Conference.

Thanks for the link! I hope my post doesn’t make anyone feel guilty for taking it easy this summer. Of course, who goes to the beach without a book though?
I could use a little guilt to motivate me. My reading ‘to read’ stack of articles, journals and books keeps growing – and it’s supposed to be summer.
Oh … and that Statistics book for my J-term. Ugh.
