Our pastoral staff went to lunch today at a local pizza place. We were just in time to watch the announcement of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s choice for Vice-President.

Last night CNN carried a forum at Saddleback Baptist Church with the two presidential candidates. I missed it, but hope to watch the rerun tonight. Several of the bloggers we cover were watching and posting their thoughts. Here are the highlights.

This is being called on official video, I saw it on the Derek Webb fan site. It looks to mock the whole process we endure to pick our national Messiah.

Baptist Press is reporting that Johnny Hunt was elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention on the first ballot.  Please be praying for Dr. Hunt as he leads our convention.  I am sure there will be more on this story from our Said bloggers.
