Name Your Top Three Professors

Every year Southern Seminary gives a teaching award for faculty who meet the following criteria.

  • effectively teaches the basic knowledge for which he/she is responsible
  • demonstrates personal care and interest for students
  • demonstrates genuine concern for the spiritual development of students, inside and outside of the classroom

I thought it would be fun to have that same conversation here on Said at Southern.

Nominations for the real Edge Faculty Award should be submitted in writing to Dr. Moore’s Office, prior to April 15th.

  1. Jonathan Baird says:

    1. Bruce Ware-passion, eloquence, genius
    2. Gregg Allison- excellent thinker and discussion moderator.
    3. Russell D. Moore- well rounded

  2. 1. Bruce Ware for his passion for God’s glory . He is a humble and godly man.
2- William Cook. I’ve taken most of my NT courses with Dr. Cook when I was a student at southern. Dr. Cook has a heart of a pastoral theologian. He is a passionate preacher too.
3- Dr. Mark Seifrid, he’s a profound scholar, a careful communicator.
