He’s basically right, but it’s hard to see how we might fix this problem. It truly does seem that when it comes to the various governmental systems, democracy is merely the lesser evil.
I would have been interested to see the whole talk by Wright, and his suggestions for fixing this problem. It seems to me that the best idea is to only apply governmental control and regulation in areas that truly require it.
