Why You Should Never Delete Your Blog

All the links that point to your content will not go away, so some clever spammer will re-create your blog (yes even on blogger and wordpress) and all the old links will now point to the spammer’s new blog with the identical address as your deleted blog!

Which is very, very bad. I don’t want links from Said at Southern pointing to a spam blog! It actually hurts my reputation with Google.

So, if you want to get rid of your blog, let me adopt it. Yes, I will accept your orphaned blog, delete your personal information and make it a generic archive. Or I can show you how to do it yourself. Then use it to promote Said at Southern content. Like magic, your abandoned blog now contributes to the good of the world rather than feeding a spammer.

Seriously, email me before you delete your blog TonyKummer@gmail.com

I might even start an agency to adopt them, if us good guys don’t taken them in they just end up on the streets. Then they get into all kind if trouble and before you know it they are linking diet pills and car insurance!

So you are saying that if you delete your blogger and go to wordpress, your Blogger will still be in existance? If you have a Christian Blogger wouldn’t you be glad that the world might read it for ever?

Your blogger blog will be gone, but spammer can discover all the links on other blogs pointing to it. They can then re-create the blog on the same URL. The end result is they now have all the old links pointing to their new blog!
